Massage modalities are almost universally loved around the planet. While there are a few people who find some kind of discomfort in getting a massage due to shyness or physical hyper sensitivity, it’s quite accurate to say that everyone else on Earth loves a massage! In this story I will write about my recent Bondi Junction massage experience which exceeded all my expectations.
For me, my favorite massage system is Thai massage. I’m an avid traveller and I always make a habit of experiencing a massage wherever I may travel, especially when in some of the more exotic locations such as throughout Asia, and the Middle East. I found out that Thai massage actually hails from origins in India where they used an ancient method of breathing known as “Pranayama” in conjunction with stretching and meridian pressure point work. Personally I find that nothing is better for getting my body back in alignment and feeling refreshed and energised.
While recently visiting relatives in Sydney Australia, I was hoping to find a much needed Thai massage in Bondi. I found what I was looking for nearby in Bondi Junction at the Remedial and Sports Clinic. As far as I could see the staff were all native Thai and all well trained and experienced.
Due to the nature of the Thai massage system, some people can find it a little extreme, even painful. If you’ve ever had one you know what I mean, it’s definately no swedish massage! This highlights the importance of communicating with your Thai massage therapist so that she or he can give a massage just right for your tolerance levels. My masseur at the Remedial and Sports Clinic at Bondi Junction was a master at providing the perfect intensity so it was highly therapeutic while still being very enjoyable.
You can also have reflexology or other styles of sports and remedial massage and they have another clinic in Burwood Sydney that also offer spa services such as Chinese Cupping, body scrubs and waxing.
They were very professional and the massage was really excellent but the other thing I must say is how much I appreciate the genuine warmth and charm of the Thai people. It truly is a pleasure to get service from a native Thai who carries with them the traditions of Thailand and gives the gift of its courtesy and charm.
I was completely delighted with my Bondi Junction massage experience and will certainly go back for another dose when ever I’m visiting Sydney. My Bondi massage was very authentic and at least as good as any traditional Thai massage I had on any one of my trips through Thailand.
