Every little milestone along the way in an exercise or diet program is like a weight loss plateau. For example, the first plateau may be taken as the starting of our diet. Together with an exercise program, we start eating the foods that we set out to eat. The setting of goals is a must and they then become our weight loss plateaus.
If losing 100 pounds is the overall goal, we typically set plateaus along the course. Maybe after a couple of weeks, we may be doing 50 push-ups a day and be hoping to lose 10 pounds or so. Sufficient recovery between exercises
You must rest and let your body recover between workout sessions. Failure to do so, will negate the efforts of your next workout session as your body hasn’t recovered properly. Doing too much in such little time is detrimental to your body and your efforts, you have to gradually build and condition your body. Your body certainly needs proper rest and recovery to work itself up gradually between two consecutive exercise sessions.
